Masquerade Ball “La Belle Époque” — 10 September 2026, Restaurant TRAI in Iași

Some evenings amount to more than a guest list and a printed program. On 10 September 2026, Restaurant TRAI in Iași turns, for a few hours, into a turn-of-the-century ballroom: warm light, silk, masks and live music. The “La Belle Époque” Masquerade Ball is an invitation to elegance worn with conviction.

A salon of another age, in the heart of Iași

The Belle Époque was the age in which Europe believed that beauty was reason enough to dress well and step out into the world. People danced the waltz, sang operetta, and conversation was an art in itself. The ball at Restaurant TRAI borrows precisely that spirit: an evening built around music played live, a few steps away from the guests' tables.

For SCANDINAVIA Music School, evenings like this are the natural extension of the work done in the practice rooms. A trained voice does not stay in the classroom; it needs an audience, a room that listens, and a setting in which classical music feels at home rather than displayed behind glass.

The musical moments

The musical moments of the evening are performed by three artists playing side by side, live:

Gabriel Bîrjovanu
tenor
Founder of SCANDINAVIA Music School.

Angelica Solomon
soprano
Soprano voice in the musical moments of the evening.

Ciprian Oloi
piano
Piano accompaniment in the musical moments of the evening.

There is also a special waltz moment with professional dancers — the part of the evening when the music leaves the stage and moves, quite naturally, onto the dance floor.

The difference between a concert in a large hall and an evening such as this one is distance: here the audience sits a few meters from the voice and hears the breath between phrases, the piano pedal, the silence before the final note. It is the most honest way in which a voice can be heard.

Dress code: period attire, mask required

The mask is not a decorative accessory, but the rule that holds the whole evening together. Period attire, in turn, has an effect few people anticipate: it changes the way an entire room moves. When every guest keeps to the same convention, the evening gains coherence, and the photographs taken at the end look like a frame from a film rather than a collage.

  • Period outfit — anything that belongs to the spirit of the Belle Époque.
  • Mask required — without it, the story of the evening does not work.
  • Welcome prosecco.

Dress beautifully. Wear your mask. Live the story.
