On 19 September 2026, the Grădina Muzeului Unirii in Iași becomes, for the length of a single concert, an open-air recital hall. "Voyage d'Amour — a musical journey around the world" brings to the same stage soprano Angelica Solomon, tenor Gabriel Bîrjovanu and pianist Ciprian Oloi, as part of the eighth edition of the Lăpușneanu Street Festival.
A recital at the heart of the festival
Now in its eighth edition, the Lăpușneanu Street Festival once again takes music out of the concert halls and sets it down in the middle of the city. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 3:30 PM, in the Grădina Muzeului Unirii — a setting that naturally suits a program for voice and piano, where the audience sits close to the performers.
The concert is part of the festival program, organized by Lăpușneanu Street Festival, the National Athenaeum of Iași and the Municipality of Iași. Access is part of the festival, alongside the other events of this edition.
"A musical journey around the world"
The subtitle on the poster says, in fact, everything worth knowing about how the afternoon is built: a program that does not settle into a single style or a single language, but moves from one musical world into another. A title such as "Voyage d'Amour" announces a thread that ties together very different pieces, all carried by the same theme: love.
The recital format — soprano, tenor and piano — leaves room both for solo moments and for pieces sung together, and the piano is not simple accompaniment but the third partner in the dialogue. In a garden, with the audience close by, the difference between a phrase that is well delivered and one that is merely sung correctly is heard immediately.
Three names on the poster
For the SCANDINAVIA Music School audience, the three performers are not new names: one is the founder of the school, another teaches piano and theory in our classes, and Angelica Solomon is a constant collaborator on our projects.
Angelica Solomon
Soprano. A constant collaborator of SCANDINAVIA Music School.
Gabriel Bîrjovanu
Tenor, founder of SCANDINAVIA Music School, with more than 20 years on stage at Den Norske Opera in Oslo.
Ciprian Oloi
Pianist, teacher of piano and theory at SCANDINAVIA Music School and a constant collaborator on our concerts.

Good music does not need a large hall in order to move you. It needs people who stop on their way and listen all the way to the end.
What a concert like this means for our students
An open-air recital, in front of an audience passing through the city, is the most honest lesson in performing there is. The students who come to listen see how a program is built, how one breathes between phrases, how the attention of an entire garden is held. And when the ones stepping onto the stage are their own piano teacher and the founder of the school, the distance between the classroom and the real stage grows considerably shorter.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, 19 September, from 3:30 PM, in the Grădina Muzeului Unirii. Do come a little before the concert begins: a musical journey around the world deserves to be heard from the very first chord.
