At Scandinavia School, we are developing a new discipline dedicated to psaltic music – a profound art with a millennial tradition that combines music, spirituality, and culture.
The Psaltic Music course is addressed both to those who wish to deepen Orthodox church chanting and to young people preparing for admission to the Theological Seminary or the Faculty of Theology.
Students learn to read and interpret the specific language of psaltic music (neumatic notation) in a clear and structured way.
Development of a correct, expressive voice suited for liturgical chanting.
Learning the structure and interpretation of chants from the Holy Liturgy, Vespers, Matins and other church services.
Working on traditional chants, adapted to each student’s level.
Specialized support for students wishing to enter the Seminary or Theology Faculty.

Each lesson lasts 50 minutes. The standard schedule is once per week, but we can adapt based on your availability and preparation goals.
