Maria Băicănescu

Maria Băicănescu is a graduate of the „George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Classical Singing department, and is currently a first-year master's student in the same specialisation.

Alongside her solid academic training, Maria has gained valuable stage experience. She sang in the Universitas Choir and is a member of the Viventi Choir, with which she recently performed in Austria, singing the choral part of the opera Don Giovanni. As a soloist, she won a prize at the Eduard Caudella competition and performed at the opening of the Vacanțe Muzicale festival.

One of Maria's key strengths is her experience working with young children, gained as an entertainer. Used to interacting with children every day, coordinating them and keeping their attention alive through interactive games and karaoke moments, Maria knows exactly how to turn any activity into an engaging and safe experience.

At SCANDINAVIA Music School, Maria aims to combine the rigour of vocal technique with the freedom of the stage. Her approach is empathetic and relaxed, and her main goal is for students to discover their voice, develop a healthy technique and find the courage to express themselves freely through music.
